Chafer Fabrics are speciality fabrics used in manufacture of heavy duty tyres, specially to protect the side wall of tyres. The fabric is offered in both wicking and non wicking types in construction of 420, 840 and 1260 denier. It protects the tyre from damages during the fitting or removal operations by Rim and Wheel assembly, also by the tools during these operations.
A Tyre is reinforced with layers of textile and steel fabrics, besides coils of bead wires. A variety of textile fabrics are used in different parts of tyre depending on functional requirements. We supply a variety of woven chafers, using Nylon (Polyamide) 6 or 66 material either with multifilament or monofilament yarns. Our fabric weight ranges from 85 GSM to 400 GSM and fabric width ranges from 100 cms to 160 cms.
